Default Best method(s) for entering multiple notes re diverse range of topics

Hello,

I have found OneNote to be fantastic for compiling information such as notes, articles, images, etc., regarding a single or specific topic. However, I have yet to discover or learn the best method for entering (and retrieving) notes for the rapidfire succession of multiple and diverse topics I consider and manage each day.

I have tried a chronological approach (ie a Section for each month and a Page for each day or a Section for each day and a Page for each item), or organizing Notebooks/Sections/Pages by topic, and also by utilizing the standard and some custom tags, etc. However, I have not as yet found an approach which simplifies the process and saves time. This is particularly the case considering the multiple modes (ie conversations, email, phone calls, texts, meetings, etc) through which information is accumulated.

Therefore, I am keenly interested in learning (specifically) how experienced users organize their OneNote app to efficiently manage that type of information.
