Office 2016 cannot use printer configuration - auto double sided printing

My old version of Word used my printer's configuration to print auto double-sided. Word 2016 still does manual double sided. I've tried configuring the Word Print dialog to no avail. How do I tell Word 2016 to use the printer's configuration.
