Default Transition to next slide starts as soon as last animation on current slide plays

I'm sure this has been discussed before, but I'm preparing a presentation for an important interview and I've spent too much time already searching for an answer.

In my slideshow, I'm giving a point by point breakdown on a topic. I have applied animations to each point, so that they only appear when I am ready to move on to the next point. But for some reason, after I click to trigger the last animation on the current slide, it automatically moves on to the next slide as soon as the animation stops playing. Obviously, I want my audience to be able to see my point before moving on. How do I make it so that two separate mouse clicks are needed to
1) start the last animation on the current slide and
2) move on to the next slide?

In transitions, all slides are set to advance on mouse click. I have the box to advance after a certain time period unchecked.
Thanks in advance
