I have a very specific problem which started about a couple of weeks ago with my incoming email and I do hope that someone can help me.


If I get any emails with attachments into my server (BT Yahoo mail), neither these messages nor any other messages which don’t have attachments can be downloaded into my Outlook - it 'times' out when I try.
If I just get messages into my server without attachments, then everything is ok and these messages are downloaded into my Outlook.


To deal with this problem I'm currently having to shuffle emails around on my server into different folders so that I can download mails to Outlook without attachments. Those mails with attachments, I have to open and deal with on my server.



I realise of course that I could view my messages on my server, but my Outlook is very much preferred and of course this is where I store all my mails and I would like to carry on using it.


I really hope that someone can resolve this issue for me as I have already spent hours trying to resolve this issue but have got nowhere.


My operating system is Microsoft XP and my Outlook is part of the Microsoft Office Professional Edition 2003 – SP3
