Default Custom form - tab to **after** existing text in field

I've created a custom message template with a number of fields to be filled out by the sender (text boxes). The subject field contains by default the text "Meeting Request".

Question 1:
Is there a way to set the tab settings so that when I tab into the subject box, the cursor can be placed **after** the existing text instead of highlighting it, so that you are immediately in a position to **add** to the text instead of replacing it?

Question 2: Is there a way to make one of my custom fields visible in the reading pane view of this custom message? I've read online about checking the "Send Form Definition With Item" option, but that has not worked for this.

I'm open to VBA, but will need to have my hand held through each and every baby step if that's the solution.

Thanks!
