Default How to Constrain size of a Table While Entering Text

I am trying to make 3" x 5" file cards, but don't know that much about Word. The problem I am having is in keeping the size of each card the same (3" x 5", as stated), while typing text into it. As I type the text onto a card, the card then lengths, and, when my sentences wrap around to the next line, the card then increases in height. Thus, my question: how do I constrain the length and width of a card, as I type information/text into it?

Using a 2 x 2 table format and landscape orientation, each page will hold four 3" x 5" cards. I am using Word 2002.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, as this problem is holding up an entire project that I am working on.

And, by the way, if anyone knows of a ready-to-go 'flash card maker' template or program, I would also appreciate knowing about it, as well. Thank you.
