I apologize for breaking the rules, but for what it's worth, my message to the OP was quite long, and summarizes to something like this: I've worked a lot with Outlook 2007, and the description of his problem sounds like the type that requires "looking around" by someone with experience to see if he might stumble across anything peculiar that may help the direction of a solution. I was talking about TeamViewer (a remote assistance package) that I use regularly to help my ex, my daughter, and a grandson with their problems. I went into detail about the concern he might have about letting a stranger into his system, about how my sixty years as a programmer makes my starting a life of crime now rather unlikely, and how he can abort the session with a single click if something I do makes him uncomfortable.
