Help. Text selected with weird bubbles when scroll

Hi, when I scroll in word 2013, sometimes it scrolls up while selecting some text with two circles appearing. Its quite annoying when working with large documents. What is happening? I'm using a Dell Laptop and the scrolling is done using the touchpad
