Creating a new mail profile will give you a new clean Outlook without data etc. (or you could simply delete unwanted information from the existing profile if it is otherwise working)'

Then whether you can import your backed up data, rather depends on what it is backed up from and in what format.

With a new profile, you can always open the old PST file to copy any required information from it, but this won't work for your 'other' unidentified e-mail program, if it is not another version of Outlook.
