Modifying the QAT and Ribbon in Microsoft Word

You can add forward and back buttons to the QAT.

These are found under Commands not in the Ribbon and are actually the webgoforward and webgoback commands. See the screenshots below.

When you click on a hyperlink within your document and jump to that location, the Back button will become active and by clicking on it, you will go back to the original location. That is the state shown in the second image. When you use the Back button, the Forward button becomes active and you can use it to return to the hyperlink target. Alt+arrow does the same thing.
