As of this week-end double clicking any Office file or email attachment results in the Office application taking about 30 seconds to open and then another 10 or so for the file to open. Meanwhile nothing else can be done. However, if the Office application is opened first and then the file selected it opens instantly.

Spent some time with Norton this morning (loaded a previous version of N360 with no change) and discovered that the problem goes away if I turn off wifi to disconnect from the network (just this laptop and printer on at the moment)

Using XP and Office 2007. I note there was a MS update on Friday last which I think included Office items.
