Problem with hyperlinks to PDF from Word to Mozilla
I have several hyperlinks which link to a PDF, and in some cases I need to include a page or a zoom setting in the link. This is done using a hashtag for the parameters:
But it seems that when it is opened in Mozilla on one of my coworkers computers (PC), the hashtag is converted to a dash:
"http://www.xxxxx.com/path/to/myPDF.pdf - zoom=100"
The result is that the PDF doesn't open. I know that not all browsers handle the hashtags properly, but they usually open the file ignoring the parameters. I can copy the hyperlink from the Word document, and paste into Mozilla, and it works fine. I believe the link also works properly if activated from a link in a PDF in Acrobat. I don't have this problem on my PC, in all browsers I have tried, it opens the PDF properly.
Does anyone know if there is a way to tell if the hashtag is getting reformatted in Word, or after it has been transferred to Mozilla?
