This may have been the result of your picking a new theme or style set.

The instructions that Graham gave you will work in more than 99% of Word installations. If it does not work in yours it is likely that you have a poorly written Add-In and the quick way to handle it would be to open the normal template and make the change directly. The long term fix would be to find the Add-In and disable or remove it. Add-Ins in Microsoft Word
