I really hope someone can help. I am desperate to find a solution to this problem as I have a few hundred documents that this is affecting.
I have just started a new position and have come across documents that were first created in 2003 and now are being opened in all other Word versions. When the document is opened ALL text is highlighted in yellow, it's not normal font highlighting or paragraph highlighting, CTRL space and CTRL Q dont work either. When I take off the Editing Restrictions the highlighting turns to grey and same as they yellow, I cant remove it either. Neither the yellow or the grey highlighting is visible when printed or in print preview.
I have attached a sample of what is happening.
