In what format was the document saved? As a Word 97-2003 (*.doc) or in Word Document (*.docx) format?

If you put a copy of the document in a folder on your OneDrive that you set to be shared and then you put a copy of the link to that folder in a message that you post back here, someone may be able to recover the document for you.
