I don't work with the Mac version and only have a vague idea of its capabilities, but it should be possible to use bookmarks and cross references, and/or docvariables and their associated fields.

The most elegant solution would be a userform in your template http://www.gmayor.com/Userform.htm is aimed at the PC, but the principles should be the same for the Mac version.
