I am trying to create some template documents to be used by numerous people. As part of our review process, we need to be able to see track changes from the initial author, to reviewer, then corrections made by the original author per the reviewers comments. We need to be able to distinquish between the author's original changes and the changes they made in response to the reviewer. The only way we've figured out how to do this is to change the Username of the author, so the second round of track changes shows a different color for the same physical person. Instead of the round-about way of making changes to the User Name, I would like to try to make it a Document Property, or the like, so that we can insert a Quick Part for it in the text of the document; then can change it directly in the document, and thus change the actual UserName that shows up for track changes. It seems like it shouldn't be that hard, since it is a Field option, but I cannot find a way to make it work. Ideas?
