I am experiencing the same issue. Have the same hardware config. Sometimes I have just a small part that needs to be converted and that can take hours. I know that this is not the way it should work. I am still in the process of investigating this. Have tried changing language packs, pageversioning on and of, local notebook vs synced notebook. No avail yet but I will keep on trying. I don't think the i7 will make a difference for this particular situation.
