Default Pivot table problem

Hi all

I was hoping someone might be able to help me. I've got a problem with this pivot table:

In your opinion, how good a job do you think the police are doing in your local area?Count of A1QUARTERA1Total1Excellent29Good179Fair127Poor36Very Poor71 Total3782Excellent34Good203Fair149Poor37Very Poor162 Total4393Excellent30Good181Fair112Poor29Very Poor163 Total3684Excellent23Good173Fair105Poor33Very Poor134 Total347Grand Total1532

Essentially the totals are displayed at the moment as counts. I want to display each one by a % of the "Quarter" they are in. I can get a % of the grand total but not of the sub-totals. % of row or column obviously doesn't work. When I pick Quarter as a Base Field I then need to specifiy a Base Item, but this needs to vary depending on the quarter. Does anyone have any advice?

As a practical example, the first line shows "Excellent" as 29 for quarter 1. I need this to show as a % of 378, the first sub total, not of the grand total. The second "Excellent" needs to show as a % of 439, and so forth.

I can't seem to upload the document which I know is a pain.

Any help would be very gratefully recieved, and would really speed up my work on this report.

Many Thanks

swindon
