If you need to use Styles, you could use frames rather than textboxes. However, most shape effects are not available to frames. Borders and shading is about it.

You might want to use Greg Maxey's Add-In to help you organize and use this.
Building Blocks & AutoText You could put your shapes into a separate gallery and put it on the QAT.
