No, I'm getting this behavior when ALL documents are minimized.

This is exactly what I experience and endeavor to figure out how to change it because this stupid disturbing behavior of which purpose I cannot even conceive of must have been purposely designed by some overdeveloped philosopher there in Microsoft pool and is plaguing Word users' experience.

I appreciate any time of yours you've already spent working on this issue and I really do, yet I completely disagree with your conviction that in order to have this behavior of Word software eliminated "
it is easier to close hidden documents." Assuming I permanently work, with some breaks, on those documents that procedure of closing them and then presumably opening them again, would appear to be even more disturbing than having to manipulate with automatically opened window!!! The other idea of yours of "
showing at least one window before opening a new one" seems to me a little absurd because it is more or less what I already have to do right now, and firmly try to fight it, only in opposite order...
I also doubt I'm the only one in the world struggling with this idiocy
... and obstinately look for an effective solution.
