That has been checked many times. The only place "show grid lines" shows up is under "display options for this worksheet". Since I have opened up so many worksheets today, those that I opened have grid lines because I went to advanced and changed that to blue. Is it fixed yet? The only other thing I can think is that you need to save your new option choices for the default in Excel. Not sure how you do that: close all files, open a new worksheet with one tab, change the options to what you want, close Excel? Then when you open it new, does the default sheet look right?
