Angry Pictures break pagination (Word 2013)

I'm having a recurring problem that I thought I had fixed.

In short, when I insert a picture into a Word document (that is massive and has hundreds of pictures in it, as that is the purpose of this report: to visually display data), it inexplicably breaks the pagination and stops rendering past that point in the page-view. And since many of the other views don't display images in Word 2013, it is proving to be a very difficult problem to get around: my client reads the document in that fashion, and a good third of the document is behind this picture.

I've tried re-rendering the picture and re-inserting it in a different place. No matter what I do, this Excel object keeps breaking my document. Even if I bounce the picture out into paint and insert it via menu commands, things are still broken.

I remember there's something hidden that I need to delete to fix this but I can't find it and I'm spending WAY too much time on trying to get the document to paginate rather than doing the work I need to do.
