“Track changes” is off, and presently footnotes and endnotes are correctly renumbered when a change is made (eg the removal of an early number in the list). What bothers me is the following (I propose an example below). Lets say that I introduce in the text a multiple reference to note 2 (here, it is the 2 green). If I delete note 1, note 2 correctly becomes note 1, but multiple reference 2 does not follow and remains 2 instead of becoming 1. Can this be overcome ?
That would greatly help me as I am editing a paper.
