Can anyone help? I'm tearing my hair out here.

Until recently, Outlook (2010) worked fine with attachments. It trusted me to know which attachments were safe to open and which to be wary of. Now, suddenly, it is trying to force me to save all PDFs and DOCXs and will not preview them. Oddly, it allows me to open JPEGs directly!

I have scoured the internet and found no solution that works. I've tried disabling my AV software; I've stopped MS anti-malware from loading; I've even beaten the computer with the branch of a tree. All to no avail.

How do I get Outlook to trust me again? Please help.
