Try it this way:

1. Start with about where you want
2. Go to the Insert tab
3. Select Shapes
4. Select Line from Lines
5. Draw a small line
6. With the line selected, now right click and then select Format AutoShape
7. Make your line as wide, etc, as you want
8. Oh, don’t forget to fine tune its location once set by holding down your Control key while using your Arrow key
