Default OneNote Online "Sorry, OneNote Online can't open this link" (Link to a Page within a Section Group)

I use OneNote 2013 on my Desktop (Win8.1) and OneNote Online elsewhere to access my Notebooks, and have a problem with links to other pages (within the Notebook). Can someone tell me if it is something that OneNote Online doesn't support?

Here's the issue. I created a Notebook using OneNote 2013, stored on OneDrive Personal, and it has links to other pages within the same Notebook. These links all worked fine on the Desktop with 2013. However, I noticed with OneNote Online that some links worked and some didn't (they displayed the error above). Eventually, I realised that the ones that didn't work were links to pages contained within a Section Group.

To check this, I did the following. Maybe someone can try it and see if they get the same result.

With Desktop version of OneNote (2013):
1. Created a new Notebook "Test Notebook" stored on OneDrive (Personal)
2. Named the new section "Section 1" with a Page called "Page 1"
3. Created a new Section called "Section 2" with a Page called "Page 2"
4. Created a new Section Group called "Group 3", with a Section called "Section 3" and a Page called "Page 3"
5. Go back to Section 1 / Page 1
6. Inserted a link to the page: Section 2 / Page 2
7. Inserted another link to the page: Group 3 / Section 3 / Page 3
These links both work in OneNote 2013 on the Desktop. However, if I open this Notebook using OneNote Online, only the link to Page 2 works - the link to Page 3 shows the error "Sorry, OneNote Online can't open this link". Note that I've tried both Chrome and IE as browsers.

If the answer is that OneNote Online doesn't support links to pages within Section Groups, I'd understand what was happening. However, I also discovered that if I created/edited the link using OneNote Online instead of OneNote 2013, it works in both places. This is what I did in OneNote Online:
1. Nagivated to Group 3 / Section 3
2. Right clicked on Page 3 and selected "Copy Link to the Page..." - and copied the link
3. Navigated back to Section 1 / Page 1
4. Right clicked the link to Page 3 and selected "Edit Link.."
5. Pasted and saved the copied link
Now, the link to Page 3 works with OneNote Online. Once synced back to the Desktop, it still works there too. This made me think that maybe it is supposed to work with OneNote Online.

Can anyone tell me if this behaviour is expected? Does everyone else get the same result or is it just me? Is OneNote 2010 different? Are links to Pages within a Section Group not supported with OneNote Online? If not, why does the copied link using OneNote Online work?

Thanks for any advice given,
Ross

P.S. I've now also tried doing the same thing on my Laptop computer which is Windows 7, still using OneNote 2013. I created a new notebook and can confirm that the same problem occurs when I try the links using OneNote Online.
