I don't think I explained very clearly. The document will be bound so that all pages are aligned. Landscape pages will have their "top" on the left margin where the document is bound. Page numbers, however, must be at the bottom center of the bound document for all pages, regardless of orientation. The default pagination puts the page numbers on the bottom regardless of orientation, which means after binding the landscape pages would have the page number on the right margin. Thus, if I'm flipping through, the page number "moves" from the bottom of the book to the side (and turn sideways) depending on which orientation the page was set to.

jjfreedman, I'm off to play with building blocks to see if that helps place the box consistently. This will still require individual placement on every landscape page, though, right?
