Throwing more memory at the computer won't fix problems that aren't memory-related. There is no evidence of that here.

Srotolo: Try running Excel in safe mode, and seeing if the problem persists. If so, it's possible the workbook has some form of corruption; if not, the issue may be related to a 3rd-party Addin.
