Maybe the right hand scroll bar is off the screen. Try dragging the whole Word window a short distance to the left of screen to see whether you can locate the right hand edge. Once located you can drag the right hand edge towards the left of screen to resize the window, then drag the whole window back towards the right until it is centred on screen.
