Again...very awesome that you are doing this for me. I actually took your first concept and put some of my own information to work. I found a calendar template that I really liked and put some of the same fundamentals into it... Here is what I was kind of talking about. Not sure if I could make it anymore systematic or clean, or if I could make the functionality any better...but this is kind of what I meant.
