To explain a bit more, no one here is familiar with all of the templates that are available for Word. There are a bunch of templates out there and unless someone has run into the same problem you are having we are at a loss to help you without seeing the document.

To attach a document to a message here, click on the "Go Advanced" button at the bottom of the window you type in. It is right next to the button for "Post Quick Reply."

Many experienced users don't use the templates available from Microsoft because they have better material on their own computers. On the other hand, for something that is not done frequently, they can at least be a source of ideas.

You will find that most resume templates use tables, with or without borders and shading, and styles quite effectively.
