Default Two odd pages in a row killing my soul

Please help me!
I'm adding page numbers to a book manuscript.
The book is divided into "Parts".
Part 1 just happens to end on an odd page (101).
Therefore, the next page, 102, is blank. As such, I want to not have a page number listed. It still counts as page 102.

However, the only way to delete the page number on 102 (without deleting every single footer on all Even Pages) is to have it as a different Section. So I did a Page Break on 101 and then added a Blank Page. The page added was Odd, and this is the problem. I need to make it even.

People keep telling me that the beginning of a new section is always Odd. But I know they're wrong - I've done it before, in this very same document, as depicted in the second photo.

Please tell me what to do!
