Default Huge spaces between words in a justified paragraph!

Hello. I am having a problem about the text justification of my bibliography. I have long URLs cited and because of this the line of text before the line of a URL is forced justified and the few words in the line would spread with enormous spaces between them. How do I get Microsoft Word to break the URL, so that half of it will go above and half will go below? I want to break the long URL into two lines after or before a special character (a slash perhaps), like for example in the attached image, the <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Demographics> be split between ...wiki/ and Demographics.... My document really looks cluttered because of the huge spaces. Any help would be appreciated!
