Dear All

I am writing my thesis and need some help.

My Heading 1 has to be in Roman Numerals: Chapter I, Chapter II, Chapter III etc.

Then my Heading 2, I can manage to make it into Arabic Numerals:
Chapter I
1.1 Testing
1.2 Trying
etc.

However when I go to Table and Figures, they appear like this:
Table I.1 instead of Table 1.1
Figure II.4 instead of Figure 2.4

How can I make it that way?
I tried changing the field codes but failed (beyond my ability)
