I have already have Office 365 Personal on my desktop PC but have just purchased a new laptop. I want to convert my Office 365 Personal to Office 365 Home so that I can use that. I spoke by telephone to one of the Microsoft reps but he simply could not understand what I wanted to do or how to do it. I can find NOWHERE on the Microsoft website that addresses this.
Are these my only options: purchasing either another Personal subscription (resulting in two subscriptions, with differing expiry dates!!) or purchasing a Home subscription now for my laptop, then adding my PC when the current Personal edition expires?
I don't mind that second option too much, with the BIG exception that it appears that all my Outlook email from my current Personal addition will be lost when I add my PC to the Home edition!!!
Does anyone have insight into this "tangled web Microsoft has weaved"?? (PS I know it should be "woven" but I'm quoting the words from Sir Walter Scott.) Did they never consider that someone would want to do this?
