You could try using a font that has more leading. For example, the Garamond font has relatively small characters compared to, say, the Calibri font. If you use the Garamond font and increase the point size to use approximately the same linear length as the Calibri font, the row heights will increase, giving you more whitespace above & below each line. FWIW 12pt Garamond approximates 11pt Calibri for overall character widths. Anything fancier would require a macro, but that would only serve to increase the space before the first line and after the last line in a cell.
