This is why I learned ago to avoid Betas
I prefer to let others catch the initial bullets, such as you
Corporations, like M$ and HP and Google see us common folk in a totality, NOT as individuals
Your problem will become a problem when a significant group of users reach a Tipping Point for that issue
For example, with Windows 7, I studied what the techies were reporting and repairing with the Beta versions, and then still waited a month before I made the switch, still careful to keep Vista as much as I dislike it
If you like to test Betas (or keep up on Betas and later deployment of a product), I set up my Google Reader to catch RSS feeds for a Beta
