Hi all,
Having a very frustrating problem -- one of those instances where Microsoft is predicting what it thinks I want, and horribly inaccurately.
I have created a list with the 1.1.1 numbered format. For all points one through nine, my text has appeared as follows, which is exactly the way I want it:
Code:
1. HERE'S MY HEADER
1.1. A bit of detail
1.1.1. And a sub-point
Please take note of the spacing between the numbers and the text.
All of a sudden, Word decided to start doing the following at number ten:
Code:
10. ANOTHER BIT OF TEXT
10.1. I am the evil Microsoft, you want extra spaces now.
10.1.1. Just to make you mad, no extra spaces here!
No matter what I do, I cannot get rid of the asinine, unwanted spacing for item 10.1. I have wiped out the bottom half of the document and typed again, to no avail. I have copied correctly formatted text from earlier in the document, but then Word takes it upon itself to reformat just that line.
I have played with the settings in <Right Click>
Adjust List Indents to no avail. Can someone please help me figure out what Word has done wrong so I can correct it? It's driving me nuts!
Thanks,
P
