Hi,

The quoted .pdf file above only shows you how to set up your phone to collect your email.

I have set-up my phone / Outlook set-up to do what you want, but it will take a little work, and you will need some software.

Firstly, you will need to export your Outlook contacts and calendar as .csv files and store them on your PC somewhere.

Next log in to your Gmail account, and then go to the contacts screen and import your contacts form the .csv file.

Repeat for the calendar.

Now go to www.fieldstonsoftware.com and download the latest version of Gsynit (you will need to pay about $20)

Install Gsyncit and set up to sync both ways between your Gmail account and your local Outlook set-up.

Any Calendar / Contact changes you make on any platform (Local Outlook, Phone, or Gmail on the web) will automatically propagate to all the other platforms.

NOTE
It is not possible to 'sync' email folders between Android and Outlook - I have my phone set-up to check my email accounts, and use this to read /filter / delete email and just keep the ones I want to download into my local Outlook.

I have yet to find a way to sync tasks, so I use a separate application (Wunderlist) to handle tasks - they are promising an Outlook sync facility, but its not released yet.

HTH

Neil
