I do manage to get the shaded background but it seems impossible to make the shade start a bit to the left of the actual text, as in the example. (And stop a bit to the right. Actually: the shaded area shall cover the whole type area)

Is my assumption correct ?

It seems like I have to choose: formatstyle and not designed as we want, or textbox (or a tablecell? ) and get the wanted design.

This is supposed to end up in a stable template for users that can´t or won´t bother about layout issues. So mayby a style is the better alternative, even if it won't do exactly what the customer wants.
