Recently, Outlook 2007 has been crashing when opened and auto send/receive is turned on. If I turn it off Outlook doesn't crash, but I cannot send/receive. I contacted Microsoft and they sent me a hotfix, however when attempting to extract the zip file I downloaded I get an error. What's a grandmother to do?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
