It's hard to tell from your images. I see that you have a variable gray area, but can't tell if it's on all pages, if all pages are the same or different.

I would try the View tab and see if you are viewing in something other than Page Layout. Less likely but possible, is Page Layout/Size: did you manage to select a different paper format?
