Master documents, subdocuments, and styles
Microsoft Word Questions
I have a number of questions involving master documents, subdocuments, and text styles.
Zyzzy59 kindly pointed to a link that got me started with master documents and subdocuments.
However, some issues have arisen that I have been unable to resolve.
----------------------------------
DOUBLE HEADERS
My master document contains a header line for each linked subdocument. Microsoft Word requires this.
Each of my subdocuments begins with a header. I want to do this because the subdocument might be edited and/or used independently of that (or any) master document.
This causes a “double header” effect for each subdocument (one header from the master document and the other from the subdocument).
Any suggestions?

STYLES
I can modify a style (such as “Heading 1” or “1 Normal”) to change the font, etc.
However, doing so affects only the document in which perform the modification.
I would like to modify those styles “globally” (i.e., have it apply to all documents, both existing and new).
Any suggestions?
Thanks
