Default Problem with Inserting Power-Point Graphics into Word

Hello guys,

i currently am working on a scientific thesis. I usually do a lot of my graphics like diagrams or models in PowerPoint. After i Group the graphics, i directly import them into MSWord. The good thing is, that these graphics have really high quality in comparision to inserting them as formated graphics like .png-files.

Everything so far works perfect. The only Problem i got is with the positioning of the graphics. To show you my problem , i attached a screenshot. Unfortunately i have the german version (i blurred the text) but i hope you get the point. After I imported the vector graphic via copy paste i specified that i dont want Textflow in or next to the graphic. Thats fine so far. The problem is, that unlike to usual graphics, i can not specify the position of the graphic. At the moment it is positioned at the left side but i want to have it in the center of the page. As you can see the options for positioning content is grayed out and disabled and i cant define the position in the graphics properties as well (its disabled there also).

Does anyone know a solution? Like i said i really want the original powerpoint vector graphics and not import it as a png since in my opinion the quality of the graphic decreases a lot when doing so.

Thanks in advance!

Don
