Default Word Fill-in form with Excel spreadsheet

Hello,

Can you explain how to create a Word fill-in form that has an embedded Excel spreadsheet that is used to enter data? We have a form where we need to embed an Excel spreadsheet to calculate totals and percentages.

I can get the Excel spreadsheet into the Word form but when I protect the document for filling in forms only, I can't enter data into the Excel portion of the form.
