... as there seems to be now answer to this question, I - now - use the following workarround:
- Type miss-hypenated word with conditional hyphen(s) at correct position
- Copy
- Open AutoCorrections dialog
- Paste into Replace field
- Select 'Fomatted text' instead of 'Text only'
- Save.
Allow auto-correction during typing and the annoying issue is (nor really but somehow) solved - the word is replaced by a version containing optional hyphens at the right (!!!) position.
Sorry if not all menu or dialog items are correctly mentioned, my Word is the German version ...
