As I recently started learning it, I tried to enter Chinese language in Word2007. Although everything went fine (I can enter legible character combinations) I prefer the DFKai-SB font to the default SimSun. Nonetheless, I cannot change the font during the writing process for the font instantly jumps back to SimSun as soon as the first character appears. The issue could not be solved by changing the default font for doing so only affected writing in latin alphabet. I bypassed the problem for the moment by first writing the text and changing its font to DFKai-SB afterwards but I don’t think that’s the way it’s meant to be.
Does anybody have a clue how to prevent Word from jumping back to SimSun font when I enter text or maybe even set DFKai-SB the default font for Chinese Characters.
(btw: The problem only occurs with Chinese text, latin and greek alphabet and even tibetan fonts can be changed and do not jump back.)
