Please:
- Consider posting a separate question as to each of the other problems you are having. I suspect a Document Corruption. They have nothing to do with the original question and by posting a separate question you are more likely to get a knowledgeable answer. Remember to give a meaningful subject or title to the question.
It has been many years since I last used Word 2000. I still use Word 2003 from time to time and have Word 97 on my computer.
Is Word the only program where this is showing up? What about your internet browser?
Do these show up in draft view?
If what you have is a check pattern, I suspect gridlines. The control for display of these is on the Drawing Toolbar under Draw > Grid. Uncheck the box to display gridlines on screen.
What happens if you increase or change the space between lines or paragraphs. Does that change the spacing of the lines you are seeing?
