I did find another keyboard shortcut that works for Go Back: Alt Control Z. This is listed along with Shift F5 among the shortcuts. The problem seems to be specifically with the function key, as Alt and Control are both working normally.

OK, this may be a programmable keyboard interfering, as I suggested earlier.
